owl girl and happy air mail quilted zipper

My last pouch for this year is finished! I will take a little break from making new items for my shop, but I’ll still do handmade work and update my blog.

The back pocket is elastic and perfect for tiny creatures to get in!

pene-chan in a Winter wonder land

It is Pene-chan’s “on time” in the Winter, particularly a snowy day. She’s not like other bears. I think that Pene-chan’s Winter outfit is very pretty, and I love looking at her feeling cozy.

When I saw her in this polka dot hat at her Etsy shop, I grabbed her immediately. She was my first purchase at Etsy, and in order to buy her, I opened my PayPal account and became an Etsyan.

The shop has been empty, but I really hope that her handmade shop will come back again. Pene-chan is my handmade muse, reminding me of warmth of handmade.

I finished the owl girl appliqué. I think that I can add a new pouch to my shop tomorrow.

an owl girl

This is my new appliqué, an owl girl. She is falling asleep while waiting for Santa to fill her stockings. It was her plan to see Santa this year, but even in an owl costume, she indeed fell asleep...

I will make one more eye glasses case tomorrow.

fantastic holiday gift

I’m so happy that I received this cutest present from my customer!! I could see the Panda-chan’s face through the wrapping bag, and I screamed as I was opening the package.

It was a Panda-chan’s eraser stamp~!! It was handmade!! How lovely~!! She said that she was

new to carving erasers, but to me, this Panda-chan is perfect! Her facial expression and body shape are too too kawaii~. I will use this cute stamp when I write holiday cards! Thank you so much for your thoughtful and warm gift!!! LOVE, LOVE♥❧

Some gama (framed) pouches are coming soon to my shop!

I am trying to make “retro girly” pouches.

Happy Thanksgiving 2009!

With Pene-chan’s cheerful help, I baked 4 pumpkin pies last night!

Three of them are for the family, and one pie that hasn’t any nuts will be MINE.

Before wrapping each pie, Pene-chan & Balu-chan gave the last check-up.

Happy Thanksgiving everybody!

bed time story

My sewing machine is back!!! I’m so glad that I can do my handmade work for this Holiday season on schedule. I can’t wait for stitching with Christmas music♫

A little girl is sleeping in her pink bear mummy sleeping bag. Her favorite teddy is also in a bear sleeping bag next to her. The cookies and milk are both gone! In exchange, there are two presents in her room. It is the Japanese style that Santa leaves a present next to each pillow...

I think that this is a peaceful and cheerful appliqué. I want to make more sweet bed time story appliqué that can help my peaceful sleep.

Panda-chan says, hi!

Panda-chan walked from the distance with her favorite teddy panda. (See the little foot prints of Panda-chan). Oh? You are somebody she knows... And so, Panda-chan says, “hi!” to you.

I think that this framed work would be a pretty welcome sign for your room.

I’m glad that the applique was almost completed when my hard working sewing machine broke...

ががーーん! It was shocking when the machine made the terrible sound!!! I have to wait until tomorrow to find out if it can be fixed or I have to buy a new machine.

Panda-chan’s evening delivery

It was already a bit dark outside when Panda-chan finished wrapping her presents. It had started snowing too, but she had to deliver on time. Maybe, if they weren’t handmade teddy pandas, she could delay delivery. But Panda-chan is excited about her little creations, and wants to show everybody her teddy pandas.

“Woow! Thank you,” Panda-chan imagines that her friends will say.

I will take a short break from the Panda-chan’s handmade story, and I will make 3 simple appliqué framed works next week. I hope that I can introduce my new medium size gama (framed) pouches this month too.

Panda-chan’s holiday wrapping

After making 3 teddy pandas, Panda-chan has to wrap them carefully. It seemed that she couldn’t find the same size boxes...

I’m very happy that this became another warm & happy Holiday item! I hope that the Panda-chan’s fabric picture will be a pretty Christmas decoration!

More framed work will come this month!

Here are the two previous works that I didn’t update on my blog.

first snowman 2009

This padded snowman is elegantly pretty. Maybe he is too fancy for Panda-chan’s creation? I love the landscape of the appliqué, and it is exciting to stitch the kind of layered background that I usually avoid when I make pouches. For pouches, I try to create flat appliqués, so it doesn’t get rubbed too much in use.

Making a Winter theme appliqué makes me feel very warm☃ I just need a cup of cocoa, and an embroidery sampler on my lap...☕ I really need a fireplace at home, but right now I light candles and rest my eyes.

frame work #1 & #2

This is the first Panda-chan frame work. It is a Christmas theme, very warm and happy! I hope that everybody will enjoy Panda-chan’s handmade teddy pandas!

I just put the wooden frame on top of the appliqué for this blog. The frame doesn’t have much depth, so the appliqué will be close to the frame level. This item will be in my shop after I scan it. I’m hoping to create a pretty card from this appliqué too!

This is another Christmas theme appliqué that I started first. This item is not for sale. I was so inspired by this appliqué, I decided I had to keep the work for myself... I will scan this appliqué too for making cards.

I just started stitching the third one. This is a Winter theme appliqué with a snowman and Panda-chan. I hope that it will be a very playful and joyful one.

Two frame works will be in my shop the first week of November. Also, I’m quite sure that I can add three more framed works later in November. They all will be Winter or Christmas theme appliqués.

I’m very sorry about delaying my shop update...

panda-chan’s handmade

Panda-chan is making a teddy panda. She is holding a needle, and working on the teddy panda’s left ear right now. She is going to make three teddy pandas because she has three friends. I am hoping that everybody will love Panda-chan’s handmade teddy pandas!

I am working on more stitches♥

not sleeping! framed work

Panda-chan is just pretending to be sleeping. She is planning to catch somebody...

I wanted this Panda-chan to look like a character in a picture book.

I am going to create 6 framed works for this Holiday season. I hope that they will warm up your room!

I will do more stitches tomorrow!

50th zipper pouch of this year!

It is a nice day today, and I finished the panda-chan zipper pouch! It is the 50th zipper pouch of this year♪ I think that the patch work is pretty, and I love the puffiness of the pouch.

I like adding a little appliqué on the back side of the pouch. Something that relates to the main appliqué picture would be very pretty.

who got the present?

Panda-chan is shipping her very important present by the happy air mail balloon. The balloon is big enough to carry the package far away. But who is the lucky creature who gets this mail?

The tiniest pink bear matryoshka got the gift! (I’m disappointed that it wasn’t for me this time). Sniff... Sniff... Sniff... It is safe for her to approach. She is so curious, and see her hand is reaching out from the matryoshka costume.

The linen is still wet after erasing the marker... It’s been cloudy/rainy these days, so it takes a long time to dry. I hope that it will be a nice day tomorrow for photo shooting this pouch.

panda-chan with a happy balloon air mail

Panda-chan is standing in her signature pose. Oh? Her panda teddy already looks sleepy...

The happy air mail balloon is bigger than ever. I imagine that the gift might be much heavier this time.

A pink cloud and two skinny baby birds are added with many small stitches.

After putting on the panda costume’s eyes, I will patchwork it with Japanese kawaii print fabrics. It is going to be another large puffy pouch!

pink hair girl’s closet pouch

It became like this! It is a zipper pouch, and bigger and thicker than my other ones.

I used Japanese “domit” batting between the pouch and lining, and it ended up perfectly puffy and warm.

The lining is pretty German cotton, and the pocket is an ironing girl print cotton.

This item will be in my shop shortly.

bag, OR pouch?

I finished the back side today. I added mittens and a scarf, and some snow flakes.

I still don’t know if I will make it into a mini handbag or a pouch. If it seems too too sweet to carry as a handbag, I have to create a pouch, so it will be a lovely surprise taking it out from a chic bag.

today’s work

I made a little progress♫ I added more little stitches on the appliqué, and finished the front side of the patch work. Her pink hair got curly, no need to comb for my taste.

pink hair girl’s closet

I’m going to make a mini handbag using this new appliqué. This is a winter closet, so I’m going to add mittens and a scarf on the back side of the bag.

I think that her wardrobe is adorable. She just needs a panda bear costume sometimes.

This month, I will introduce some of my felt & embroidery appliqués as framed pieces for decorating your room! I will announce more details later, so please come and take a look♪

gorgeous zipper

I made a pink bear matryoshka family zipper pouch! This pouch is thick, and cutely puffy! It is a lot of stitch work, takes long time to create, so precious♥

I love little flower appliqués on the back side.

I am working on my gama pouches. There are three different patterns!! I just ordered boxes for shipping my gama pouches, and I hope that they are the safest way to deliver. I will check on the package/shipping using my own gama before adding the items to my shop.

Please visit my shop in September to see new items including gama pouches!
