one candy bunny please!

I made a new mini bag for myself, and it is perfect for my camera! At first glance, I didn’t know if this bag was pretty or not. But then wait a minute... I gazed at the candy bunny and its whole profile once more... And I decided, yes, it is cute! Oh, I am a silly parent. The retro motif attracts me so much these days, and I am hoping that I can create pretty bags using such images.

I want to make one more thing for myself before going to Japan. And when I come back from my traveling, I will make new things for my shop! Please come visit my shop again in April!

another tea cup

I made another tea cup theme appliqué zipper pouch yesterday. This time, two bunnies are in a tea cup with the pink hair girl. The white one is candy bunny, a sweet girl, who wants to be the prettiest in the bunny world. And I don’t know about the gray one’s story yet...but he seems to happily fit there right now.

These are my shop tags. I made a cat appliqué with craft felt, and attached it to the paper tag by machine. There are two kinds of pins right now, the panda bear disguise and the pink bunny disguise. I randomly pick a tag when I wrap customer’s package. I don’t sell these pins, and I hope that my customers would enjoy this little extra freebee from my shop.

red hood pink matryoshka happy strolling quilted zipper

“red hood pink bear matryoshka happy strolling quilted zipper”
I finished the new pouch today! I enjoyed doing the yellow French knot stitches for this appliqué. And I love this Czech train button because I think that it has a retro flavor.
I was planning to add this new item to my shop today, but I think that I want to redo its lining. It is a bit too big around the bottom... So I will update my shop tomorrow afternoon.

a little progress

I woke up this morning feeling pain in my thumb. I guess I was sleeping putting my thumb under my body. It was the second time I have made this mistake. So, my work was very slow today. This red hood pink bear matryoshka will be a small zipper pouch. I hope that I can stitch more tomorrow!

pink bunny matryoshka happy spring day quilted zipper

I added a new Spring zipper pouch to my shop today! It is a very soft and cozy pouch, and I adore these pink colors so much. I am using a thicker cotton batting these days, and I think that it is perfect for my pouches. They are warmer, and I feel more secure to put cell phone or camera inside.

Things for myself

March 8, 2009
I made a pretty bunny appliqué bag for my passport. It has a pockets inside, so I can put cards in too. I think that it will make me feel happy at the airport and during the long long hours of flight to Japan.

I thought that my new little puppy needed her own hiding space. So I made a cozy soft drawstring pouch for her to get in. To not make a mistake, I embroidered her face on the pouch... But who is this? mmm... It doesn’t look like her so much, but she is a nice puppy and seems happy to have a bag.

**I will add one new zipper pouch on Tuesday afternoon!

pink bunny disguise Happy Easter chicks quilted zipper

March 6, 2009

“pink bunny disguise Happy Easter chicks quilted zipper”
I finished a new zipper pouch today. I love the bunny girl’s expression, watching her little chicks.

When I was a child, I had chicks too, but they always died the first night while I was sleeping. So I made the bunny girl’s chicks smart & strong, and they will be chickens very soon!

I received a package today. It was from Canada, and had a little handmade felt dog inside! She is sooo pretty! It was a gift from my husband, wow!

My new long tote

March 4, 2009

I made a new tote bag for myself today.  It is made from Hungarian linen which I bought at the Echeri market.  I remember the old lady who showed me this linen, telling me that she made everything by hand.  The texture is quite strong and warm, and has a soft feeling at the same time.

I made this tote for taking to Japan in the middle of this month.  It is very crowded there any time of the day especially on the trains.  So I created it long, not wide.

I think that it is very pretty to use it with a matching little bag like this...  Maybe dangling from the tote bag's handle...

I am working on new pouches with Easter theme appliques.  Please wait for a little while, thank you!

a little break

March. 1, 2009

Today was my birthday, so we had a little tea party.  It wasn't really different from everyday tea break, except I had a candle on my cake today.

Today, I created my 2008 portfolio.  It will look like this.  I selected 99 bags that I made last year, and ordered the hard cover photo book.  I decided to have the book because I will visit Japan very soon.  My mother doesn't do computer, so this portfolio will help her to see what I have been doing in America.  I hope that she will enjoy it!
