To quilt or not to quilt

Do you see some progress here? I added a butterfly, and more flowers on the appliqué. I love these circle patches made of Japanese cotton. I’m still thinking if I need to quilt it or not. After I decide, I will put some beads here.

The brown bear disguise girl, I missed her so much! I haven’t made her for a long time. She will have her cell phone and teddy tomorrow!

Pink bear matryoshka family

Today, I added two more pink bear matryoshka family members! Some flowers and balloons are inset too! I want to work on this appliqué more tomorrow. I think that it will be more colorful after the cotton patches.

New project

I started working on a custom purse organizer. A sweet customer gave me kind instructions, and lovely ideas for the appliqués! I am going to make one “pink bear matryoshka family” (four figures) appliqué, one “brown bear on the telephone” appliqué, and one “pink bear walking in a rainy day” appliqué for this organizer! I will post my little by little progress here!

I am grateful for all of my customers who offer me exciting projects, and share their stories and ideas for the appliqués! The custom orders that I have received since I opened my Etsy shop have contained a lot of happy thoughts. And I think that they turned out looking very pretty! Oh, I hope that my customers liked the products too! I simply love each stitch that constructs cute and special appliqués.

I’ve been sewing, chiku-chiku, the matryoshka family appliqué every day these days. I love putting the finished work together like this, and looking at them. I think that they are so cute!

I finished the second bag yesterday!

My new pins arrived today! I ordered two designs: one panda bear and one pink bear. They both look pretty for decorating your bags! The pin is attached to the shop tag, so please look forward to a new extra gift from my shop!

Happy Matryoshka Family Portrait zipper bag

I finished the first bag of the five bag special order today! It still takes a long time for me to create this appliqué, so I’m very grateful to my customer who agreed to wait for this long process!

I’m glad that everybody in the matryoshka family seems happy♪

I don’t have the same fabrics anymore for the next bag, so I took out all of my fabrics from the cabinet, and put them one by one next to the appliqué to match. It is like dressing dolls up. I usually put them in place on my table and leave it overnight. If I still love it the next morning, I sew them together. I love coordinating fabrics together--it is a kind of everyday adventure for me!
